It's entirely possible this is the same product and works exactly as it should, however I have not yet decided if I'm going to risk damaging my Storm by plugging this in. I'm not an avid thumb-keying texter, so this keyboard is a liberating experience with my BB. I use it where I don't want to lug a laptop to compose "real English" e-mails. The quality seems very good, especially the classy carrying case with magnetic clasp. I can open it, switch on, and it is connected and ready to type in 30 seconds. One dislike: The "up" arrow key is where the caps shift key on the right side should be, which makes for some pretty annoying typo's when the cursor jumps up a line while I keep typing. I still haven't gotten used to it yet (after about two weeks). But overall it's WAY better than thumbing it! I'm glad I bought it.

I got this keyboard to use with my Moto Droid and the KeyPro application available in the Market. It works just fine with these two programs. I have to fill out forms online and find this to be much easier for that work than the built in Android keyboards. I also bought the Documents to Go program and I can use this keyboard to make good documents that I can email to myself or mount up my Droid to my computer for transfer. I am quite pleased with this keyboard.

when connected to the windows mobile smart phone, there is a 2 second delay when typing and that character appearing on the phone screen. The Customer service has no explanation why this is happening..

also sometimes it just disconnected on its own and i have to redo the bluetooth sync process all over again. I tried couple of these and i now prefer my phone's own sliding keyboard, as typing there is much faster and usually error free.

i wouldnt recommend this product.

The Freedom Pro Bluetooth Keyboad seems to be an excellent product. Unfortunately, installation of the inculuded software did not work for my Blackberry 8320, because my employer's systems are set up such that Blackberry software must be installed on our Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES). My employer was unwilling to do this because our BES is evidently somewhat unstable (nothing to do with Freedom Keyboard), so I was not able to use the keyboard. Freedom Pro was quick to help me with the needed software, once I made my may through the U.S. telephone numbers on their website which apparently all forward to an office in the U.K.



Had I been able to install the BES software, I'm quite sure I would have kept the unit. I've had great success in the past using an external keyboard years ago with my Palm Pilot. Very easy to type notes into emails and send them to myself, or directly into a Word doc if your phone / PDA has this function.

I love this charging pod so much I purchased 3 more for friends after receiving the first (and they love theirs too).

You cannot tell from the picture, but the inside of the pod has charging pins that protrude slightly and when the Blackberry is placed into the pod the pins touch charging contacts on both sides of your Blackberry which enables charging. The Blackberry sits upright and displays the clock while charging (at least the BB Bold 9000 does). The charger pod does not come with an AC cord but you just plug your original Blackberry AC cord into the back of the pod and from then on just drop the BB into the pod and it begins charging immediately. No buttons to push. Very simple and I have to say it looks great too, matching my BB very nicely.

If you use your BB extensively as I do, you might want to purchase two pods (and one additional AC cord) so that you can have one pod at work and one at home. It sure makes it nice to just drop my BB in and not have to fumble trying to plug or unplug the AC cord into the BB every night. The pod prices can very slightly, however, the shipping charges are what make the difference in the final cost. Compare vendors shipping charges as well as the unit price for your best purchase price. I hope this review helps.

I have a PC headset that I wanted to try with my iPhone. This adapter works just fine. My goal was to be able to find a headset that can be used with windows down and sunroof open (and eventually with a convertible which i'm thinking about). Don't know for a fact that a bluetooth couldn't do it, but my thought was i'd need some sort of headset with a boom which would be closer to my mouth. Also thought if I could get a PC headset, I could use it with my PC too. This adapter works great with my PC headset. Sorry, I know it sounds more like I'm reviewing the headset vs the adapter. BTW: I ended up with the Logitech Premium Notebook Headset and it seems to work great with the sunroof open and windows down (as long as the wind isn't blowing directly into the microphone). I tested by using the Sound Recorder on the iPhone. This headset also lets you turn one of the earpads off one ear (it's actually against the law to cover both ears).

I purchased this adapter for two applications. Using the computer headset on a 2.5 mm telephone, which I am sorry to report it did not work that well with my Packet8 phone. It did worked well with a Polycom Soundpoint, therefore cannot blame the adapter.

Additionally, I used the 2.5 to 3.5 smartphone portion to connect a Blackberry to my aviation headset. It worked well too.

This is a very good solution, nevertheless be aware that depending on the phone/headset combination you may experience different performance.
